2D Images

Started working in photoshop. Learned how to create a blank canvas of a certain size, add a background picture, and a selected section of an image to add to the background (resizing and positioning). I chose a lake and a cat, two things that don't usually go together.

We worked in photoshop today with cloning, copying, layers, and selection. I edited a tree to make it symmertrical, copied it, and pasted it on the background layer. Then we duplicated it and resized them. We also cloned cows to delete and add them.

This demo included using the same cloning technique as before with the cows. We then used the pattern cloning tool and selected the section of the wall that we wanted the pattern to go on.

We went over how to make a fake shadow using the fill tool. Changing the opaqueness helps it to look more realistic.

For this demo we used the background eraser tool to erase the background but keep the image of Megan and her hair there.

For the third demo, we changed the hue/saturation of the image and I added a pattern on top of that.

We worked with the mask tool, creating an extra background layer and inverting our selection to create a realistic representation. We used the polygonal selection tool to select the mirror,

We did the same thing as before but used to pen tool to select instead.

We did the same thing here as well, using the polygonal selection tool and multiple images between the two background layers.

Used the polygonal selection tool and used the 'add selection' to select both mirrors.

We used the pen tool to select a section of the van and add another image to it.

We learned how to use the mask text tool to create text that seems to come from the background, adding bevel and emboss and multiple other effects.

We used lens flare, render tools, eraser tool, and many color changes and opacity changes.

We were taught how to make the back of our postcards, adding text, images, and lines.

We created a 3D cube, added a shadow, and rendered it.

After rendering the cube as a png, we moved and duplicated it onto another landscape background.

We continued to create 3D objects with shadows and put them in pictures to make them as realistic as possible. This bottle was found in the mesh layer under 3D.

We found a coin on google and made it 3D.

This pyramid was found in the mesh layer. I added a texture to the sides and a shadow to make it realistic.

We used a picture of a dollar bill and extruded it to make it look like a stack of cash. We changed the texture by replacing it with an image from google on the side and then added a shadow.

We used the text too to create a 3D text with the same techniques as before.
